IRONSTAR GAMING
I've stood in the fire so that you don't have to.
Howdy, folks! My name is Logan and welcome to the official IronStar Gaming website! I created IronStar Gaming as a simple World of Warcraft related YouTube channel back February 2015 and since then, IronStar Gaming has stayed true to its core values - but things are starting to grow. This website is meant to supplement the YouTube channel's success and reward IronStar Gaming's viewers for their support.
Some of the core values that IronStar Gaming has always relied on are to never leave out the new players, focus strictly on the basics, and do so while still appealing to the more seasoned folk. You can't build a marble fortress on a foundation of made of sand - you need a solid understanding of what you're building from before you can construct your castle! IronStar Gaming aims to help you do exactly that - understand the basics to their entirety. IronStar Gaming is completely dedicated to providing its viewers with the highest quality, most informative, and most thorough class guides on the internet, while still only touching on the basics!
This website's initial purpose was simply to serve as a HUB for viewers to retrieve the downloadable UI strings (as seen in my videos) for their own ElvUI and TellMeWhen profiles. But, since it's early inception, the site has been growing and still has future plans on the horizon!
You'll find:
Recent video uploads
User interface AddOn strings (downloadable files)
ElvUI Profiles
TellMeWhen Profiles
And more to come!
Thank you for your support and I look forward to hearing from you soon via YouTube comments!
WHAT IS IRONSTAR GAMING
Who am I? Here's my story.
When I released my first video back in early 2015 (a Windwalker Monk guide), I was shocked by the incredible responses I was seeing from viewers. Next thing I knew, I had released several more video guides and each release that I posted outperformed the previous one. For someone expecting very VERY little in terms of views and positive comments, it truly was astounding to witness.
But, life outside of Azeroth is continually changing and I had to leave YouTube for a while. Fast-forward to Summer 2017 and I found myself aching to make a new guide to release. That video (a Frost Mage guide) quickly surpassed absolutely every statistical record that my YouTube channel previously had. Now, here I am, riding the success of several more exceptionally well performing videos, and am creating a website!
My goal as a World of Warcraft content-creator has always been to provide viewers with two things that are distinctly different, but also very much the same:
The information that they came looking for (what they think they need).
The information they didn't know they needed.
Collecting all of that information takes a lot of time, but then I feel that it's necessary to personally verify and test the validity of the my findings. I've been playing WoW for several years and have always been a naturally fast learner with an analytical mind, so I tend to pick up on and fully understand new specs very quickly. That being said, the most difficult part of the entire video creation process (for me) is breaking down and organizing everything that I feel is necessary to present to my viewers.
In each of my videos, I try to target an audience of new players who are eager to learn. So, how I break down my explanations and how I begin discussions has to walk a very tight rope - being extremely thorough with plenty of detail but don't go beyond the basics, causing confusion. My "secret" to achieving that balance is trying to remember back to my own experiences when I was a new player and combine that with what I know now. Then, I try to channel that new player mindset as a personal guide when I'm creating my videos.
With all of that effort, it's an amazing feeling when reading through YouTube comments and realizing that a lot of people are genuinely enjoying and learning from my videos. (Look below to check out some examples of real comments that viewers left) I'm honestly not sure how or why I've managed to achieve the relative success that I have, but I'm incredibly grateful for the experience!
Please subscribe to my YouTube Channel if you haven't already - it helps a lot! Also, I hope that you'll check out the rest of my site for more info!
But don't just take my word for it! Read these YouTube comments from the viewers!
